Global Position Satellite (GPS) Takes a Long Time to Lock

It may take up to 15 minutes when the unit is first started to lock onto the GPS. Please be patient, and ensure that you are outside in a relatively open area. If it still does not connect, objects that may interfere with GPS signals are:

  • Tall Buildings/Trees
  • Cell Towers
  • Power Lines
  • Other GPS signals from satellite radio, a transponder or navigation systems

Please ensure that you are well away from these objects. If you have a navigation system in your car, please move the camera to a different location to see if the GPS will lock. As well, ensure that GPS Track in your settings is set to on.

If this does not resolve your issue, please contact DOD Tech’s support team for further assistance.
